160 Particularly iconic are museums installed in the interior of the imposing cone-shaped glasshouses that represented a landmark in glass production areas, as the Gernheim Glassworks in Petershagen (D), and the Red House Glass Cone at Dudley (UK) (Figure 10.10). The symbolic force of these cone towers is so strong that modern structures destinated to host glass museums all around the world were build reproducing the shape, using glass and steel instead of brick and stone.
